Description: My submission to the YTMND Remix Project. This wasn't intended to be a full-fledged YTMND at all. I am truly shocked and honored that it's done so well. Thanks a ton to all of you.

5. The only suggestion I would make is to replace the orchestra folks' heads with YTMND fad characters.
2006-06-09 23:52:39

That is simply too awsome for any word to describe, so I shall come up with a new one... scrumtrilecent.
2006-06-09 23:52:39

damn, talk about last minute. lol, 24 minutes before contest ended.

2006-06-09 23:58:18

Ah, yeah. I'll get around to replacing them some other time. I just slapped that together in two minutes to meet the deadline, though. Thanks for the comments.

2006-06-09 23:59:12

nice job.
2006-06-09 23:59:45

2006-06-10 00:04:54

Bravo! Bravo! Encore!
2006-06-10 00:11:33

2006-06-10 00:11:56

GET IN MY HALL OF FAME RIGHT THIS SECOND!
2006-06-10 00:12:36

I CAN'T EVEN QUANTIFY HOW MANY INTERNETS YOU JUST WON, SO I'LL GIVE YOU A 5 IN THE MEANTIME
2006-06-10 00:12:37

Simply amazing. I can't wait for the second one.
2006-06-10 00:13:41

2006-06-10 00:14:49

5'd... is there even a question?
2006-06-10 00:15:24

omgomgomg this is what I've been waiting for. 500/5.
2006-06-10 00:16:34

Somehow the NSMB piece sounds like a Zelda Boss Battle... º.o
2006-06-10 00:18:50

I'm so glad to hear this is part 1 of what I hope is many more future parts. This, and more like this, is what YTMND soundtrack vol.12 should be.
2006-06-10 00:21:13

+5 for classical music
2006-06-10 00:21:41

very well put together, the only thing that could make this any better would be a female opera singer for the NSMB part.
2006-06-10 00:23:16

really rad. incredible even. nsmb sounds hella epic. like major motion picture action. my only critique is that runnin is hardly recognizable until a certain point. but hell man, many kudos to you. this is real good. even if you don't win, hopefully you'll make more. :D
2006-06-10 00:24:01

"The only suggestion I would make is to replace the orchestra folks' heads with YTMND fad characters." Quoted for truth. This music is epic. Want kind of education or training do you have in doing this kind of thing? I've always wanted to make orchestra remixes.
2006-06-10 00:24:26

I know for a fact that sounding like an orchestra is by no means easy. This rocks.
2006-06-10 00:24:39

epic
2006-06-10 00:24:51

DUDE this needs to be the next fad (thus ruining the future fad by saying so)
2006-06-10 00:26:02

encore
2006-06-10 00:30:53

WOW f*ckin incredible. You my good sir have just won the internets. Can we have buttsecks?
2006-06-10 00:32:51

UNIVERSE TIER
2006-06-10 00:33:12

f*ck YES! The running in the nineties on was a bit slow, but NSMB was awesome!
2006-06-10 00:35:16

Good show old chap!
2006-06-10 00:35:42

5 because my parents don't love me :(
+1
2006-06-10 00:37:00

LOL at Boater4000's comment. You win the internets too.
2006-06-10 00:37:04

mmmmonster kill!
2006-06-10 00:38:40

This is the fourth orchestralised version of Running in the Ninties I've heard, and none of them are as good as the first http://steamsteamstokowski.ytmnd.com/ There's been a lot of Punch Out remakes done also, but I must say this has got to be the best. Beats some guy getting top 5 just for learning it on piano. I give you composition skills a 5, but this ytmnd a 3 for that being its only positive attribute.
2006-06-10 00:39:14

=D I love YTMND.
2006-06-10 00:39:30

This wins many internets, but the repetitiveness of NSMB is more obvious in this format. If you mixed in more songs into it and had the songs 'overlap' to an extent, then this problem might be fixed.
2006-06-10 00:39:54

5 for class
2006-06-10 00:40:58

wow FTW
2006-06-10 00:41:27

Niatona, note that http://steamsteamstokowski.ytmnd.com/ was not the YTMND creator's work, though. But yeah, I understand your comments. This was really not meant to be a full-on YTMND, guys. It was just for the contest. Seriously, though, thanks a ton to all of you.
2006-06-10 00:41:59

Very well done.
2006-06-10 00:43:16

Trenchgun: "Want kind of education or training do you have in doing this kind of thing?" Actually, I do this as a hobby. I've been into electronic music production for a while and I've lately been interested in classical composition. This is by no means professional. In fact, I'm still in high school :/
2006-06-10 00:44:19

Awesome, sir. 5'd
2006-06-10 00:45:14

OMG That is amazing!
2006-06-10 00:45:56

Nicely done. Definitely would be on the soundtrack for a YTMND movie.
2006-06-10 00:46:19

Jerry Bruckheimer could totally put explosions and stuff going to that music as the black man on the bike narrowly escapes dangers.
2006-06-10 00:46:34

nice
2006-06-10 00:47:24

Wow...wow...I mean...holy sh*tcakes...
2006-06-10 00:48:35

nice.
2006-06-10 00:49:26

Very impressive bro. Keep up the musical mayhem. :D
2006-06-10 00:50:35

As for all of you who wanted YTMND characters Photoshopped on, you'll get your wishes in a moment.
2006-06-10 00:51:28

its so pretty. i almost feel asleep listening to it. :)
2006-06-10 00:52:16

2006-06-10 01:04:50

2006-06-10 01:06:11

2006-06-10 01:06:35

2006-06-10 01:15:47

You're a terrible person for spending so much time on YTMND... also, I love you.
2006-06-10 01:21:59

Why does the NSMB music remind me of Final Fantasy? Also, can you post an extended version please? ;D
2006-06-10 01:23:49

nice. but i was kind of hoping it was more upbeat
2006-06-10 01:24:01

forgot to five
2006-06-10 01:24:36

:D
2006-06-10 01:24:44

dude, this is awesome!!! nice work man, i always wet my pants when i hear an orchestral cover of a song! anywho, to the rest of the people who're commenting, if you'll notice, running in the 90's isnt in here because this is part 1 of his two part orchestral piece!
2006-06-10 01:24:58

sh!t this is amazing.
2006-06-10 01:26:58

I'm not a fan of the Runnin in the 90's part, it's too slow for a fast song, but the NSMB is Godly.
2006-06-10 01:28:05

I downvote thieves to encourage sweet sh*t like this.
2006-06-10 01:29:52

also ive been with this guy since the beginning stages of his thinking... i came just listening to him talk about it at school... i will miss the seniors
2006-06-10 01:32:42

Awesome! Any tips as to making orchestra like music in FL Studio?
2006-06-10 01:34:51

How'd you do this in two minutes?
2006-06-10 01:35:11

i cried a little, beautiful work
2006-06-10 01:36:08

Ok, here's the full 5 for putting the work in in all fields.
2006-06-10 01:38:01

wow this is SOOO the greatest thing ever.
2006-06-10 01:39:34

...Goosebumps, shivers down my spine. Epic, classic...
2006-06-10 01:39:36

2006-06-10 01:40:47

ENCORE!! ENCORE!!!
2006-06-10 01:42:59

Never before has "N*gga stole my bike" sounded so epic
2006-06-10 01:44:00

SCModder: Number one tip? Don't use the synths and instruments that Fruity gives you. You're going to have to do a lot of searching if you want to find some quality samples and VSTs. ForceUser: Oh, I meant I did the image in two minutes. Sorry for the confusion.
2006-06-10 01:44:08

I love orchestral remixes.
2006-06-10 01:44:57

Oh my god.
2006-06-10 01:47:12

Excellent arrangement. Bravo.
2006-06-10 01:47:24

BRILLIANT!
2006-06-10 01:47:30

Nice work.
2006-06-10 01:48:32

I will definitely be interested in hearing future mixes
2006-06-10 01:48:41

Woah... okay I'm impressed. If you did actually do that music all by yourself, then you have a job in independent filmmaking. Please email me: webster.robbins@gmail.com - I have cookies! [/desperate]

My bank account cries at the cost of the products - I've been trying MIDI sequencers and trackers alternately, but can't
