But just note: YTMND f*gs that happen to be Tool fans are not a good representative sample of Tool fans in general, so drawing the conclusion "tool fans are easily offended" from this is a bit of a stretch. It is not only an opinion that "Tool is the Best Band" - from a strictly technical and mathematical standpoint, they are the best band as well. They have songs in 7/8 time signatures.. that doesn't automatically mean that any band playing in 7/8 time signatures is good, but it does mean they have more technical ability if they can pull it off - which tool does.

the beauty is that they will sometimes have several different time sigs within the same song... they'll jump from 4/4 to 7/8 and back, i think one time i counted out something like a 13/8 time at one point, maybe on the Aenima album.

For all you people who hate Tool, it might just not be your style of music, and that's fine - you are entitled to your own opinion. However, I find it much more likely that you simply don't have the attention span, mental capacity, and/or intelligence required to appreciate Tool's music.

Since there are two types of music listeners - those who dislike any modern music for being "fake" and "phony"; and those who dislike older music for being too boring and complex - it is easy to see why Tool is stuck in the middle as a "common enemy" equally disliked by both groups of listeners. For being a "newer band" (and in turn being associated with "fake/phoniness") and because the songs are long and complex. Only people who truly enjoy music (not just because it is the current trend/fad) like Tool

...and a lot of people have a hard time with "progressive" music... look at King Crimson or Alan Parsons Project. Tool is the metal version of progressive, and a lot of people can't get into it.

By the way, the maker of this site probably just had an argument or something in real life with a Tool fan, so now this is his way of getting his revenge by claiming "I just made this site because its funny that Tool fans get pissed off easily", when really, he is just venting a bunch of pent up angst from his grudge towards Tool fans
