| Safer distance? They are both Assault Rifles. You want safe distance? Use an M24 or Druganov. You want dependibility and firepower, AK. | ||||||
| 1. The only reason the M16 is better at longer ranges is cause the round is lighter.
2. The AK requires little to no cleaning where the M16 practically needs cleaning after firing 200-500 rounds or the carbon build up will cause jams. The only way an AK won't fire is if it has something blocking the bolt.
3. Most of the M16A2s in the US arsonal are 10-20 year old M16A1s modified to meet the new specifications, and most of these are in terrible condition. | ||||||

| All people debating whether the M-16 and AK-47/74/101... is better, YOUR ALL WRONG!!! The worlds best military rifle (although not offically classed as an assault rifle) would have to be the Fusil Automatique Leger or the FAL. | ||||||
