| Description: | This is not an anti-war site. Just a portrayal of the cost of victory in war, no matter how necessary it is, or how magnificent it might be through the eyes of a brilliant military strategist. (And I know he didn't actually serve in the Pacific.) | ||||||||||

| Losers suffer war-crimes. Winners shake war crimes off. If the Allies lost, the Allies would been on trial for Bombing of civilian target, and all sorts of other thing.
Patton would most definatly been put to trial. Now Patton was a bit touched, but he was able to focus his mental disease and use it.
| Patton at times would do some outragoues things, but they brought light to things. When he slapped the shell shocked soldier...the Army started to investigate Shell Shock as a disease..leading to Post Traumtic Stress Disorder. | ||||||
| Now Patton hated having his men die, yet he was willing to risk it. A pint of blood was better than a gallon of sweet he said... He didn't see much beauty when Eisenhower dragged him to the Concentration Camp. (which most you all 5 star for dead Jews.) He only saw beauty from the victory. | ||||||
| Last comment swear.
Yet the waste of men he witnessed had to been saddening. However Germans do surrender, unlike the Japanese...and his army captured many Germans. He was a commander who took risk. Even taking his army to the Ardennes to relieve the Americans besieged by the Germans final attempt to extend the war.
| very sad | ||||||
| 5'd because I actually understand the message. War is saddening, even to the people who orchestrate it. | ||||||
| awww, c'mon, most of those people were just taking naps | ||||||
| cynical. like it. | ||||||
| 1'd, then read your site description and views, and redeemed to 3. Still kinda portrays Patton in an uneccessary bad light, in my opinion. | ||||||
| The fact is that war is inevitable, We aren't an evolved species to be able to have world peace yet. Perhaps in millions of years we will see a difference, but no picketing or crying about war is going to stop it. This is what war is, the people in the military do see this kind of thing, and it's no different, maybe even worse than the images you see here. I give this a 3, because war is not a good thing, but we can't live without it. BTW: Patten was not an *ssh*le, he was a great man. | ||||||
| That was a really good site bob, I wish I would of caught that early. | ||||||
| Patton was a great general but I have read that he was batsh*t nuts. I guess after living a life of seeing things like this, it's no wonder. 5'd for being stirring and non-bias. | ||||||
