| I think Nintendo changed the name to Wii after they could not get the rights to use the song Revolution by the Beatles, so they just choose another word from the song and went with it. | ||||||

| You people need to understand why they changed the name in the first place. Think about it. Nintendo has always been mainly for little kids (i.e. Pokemon, Nintendogs). Most likely, they wanted a name that the children could understand or like. Wii meaning "we play together" and Revolution meaning a sudden change or an overthrowing of a government. A little thing always helps people. 5/5 for downvoters. | ||||||
