Tuesday misses the point. FSF-style is NOT marching forward. It's backward into outdated linear comedy. What makes Dew sites (and other true YTMNDs) great is that they exist not as a line, but kind of a nebulous cloud of comedy. Many more dimensions.

The immediacy of the comedy also destroys the old notion of the "agenda" YTMND. Which is great. No more awful [Person X] Fails at Life or whatever other crap. Dew Army de-emphasizes the artist and emphasizes the art.

^^ I totally agree ink. To me, the Dew ideal is about sudden, violent comedy - no agenda, no cultural bias, and independent of fads. It's not the only flavor of YTMND I enjoy, but it's one ANYONE can do regardless of editing skills.
