oh man, that's my childhood right there.
2006-01-17 01:08:06

I remember them all.
2006-02-22 12:40:04

I remember... Best era of LEGO ever.
2006-02-25 11:54:39

+5 for making me almost cry
2006-03-30 22:56:11

90's LEGO was fantastic. Much better than the LEGO we see today.
2006-03-30 23:45:37

I remember the f*cking UFOs. I used to have a mask for the alien helmets.
2006-03-31 00:06:11

one of the lego men in there is sitting on tope of my monitor, heh. 5 for memories.
2006-04-30 21:55:34

for some reason, i really, really like this, good job
2006-05-07 11:28:45

I heard that music on radio while playing LEGOs =') good memories
2006-06-02 16:59:11

Early 90s and 80s LEGO was great. Today it's all abut stupid licensed themes. Oh well, at least the Creator and Designer sets are still good.
2006-06-24 15:50:41

Good times.
2006-06-25 19:51:25

5+ for making me go into flashbacks "+5 for making me almost cry" ditto "oh man, that's my childhood right there." ditto
2006-07-02 08:50:56

Me ruv rego rong time. They've ruined it now , its so unoriginal.
2006-07-16 11:37:29

Oh f*ck YES! Aquazone! UFO! We really didn't realize how good we had it then. I was too young to know better and save my sets, so now all of my LEGO sets from that most glorious era are disassembled and missing pieces in storage in my garage. Jesus, you never understand how great your childhood was until you're almost out of it.
2006-08-22 21:38:12

my childhood completly! more! & slow it down abit
2006-09-11 21:02:17

I remember getting the giant aqua base for christmas. It came with magnets and cranes and sh*t. Good times...
2006-09-12 00:12:37

Holy sh*t. I remember those days, when building cool sh*t with legos took creativity. Now they've got all that liscenced sh*t and no worthwhile peices anymore. The climax of lego history was the RIS 1.0. Everything after that was worthless, and everything before it wasn't near as cool as it is.
2006-09-12 00:14:13

Lol, Stephanie on the left in the fifth pic!
2006-09-12 01:15:53

the pinnacle of LEGO was the monorail set. I played the hell out of that, and eventually sold it on ebay for $80 more than it originally cost.
2006-09-12 01:25:41

i remember....
2006-09-12 01:30:26

umm, Lego still exists...?
2006-09-12 02:08:49

Yes.
2006-09-12 03:09:04

maybe slow it down
2006-09-12 03:41:48

I own half those sets.
2006-09-12 04:03:54

that pirate ship was like a holy grail of my childhood. Words cannot describe how badly I wanted it, never wound up getting it though :/
2006-09-12 05:08:26

5'd because modern LEGO is lame.
2006-09-12 05:20:09

makes me sad
2006-09-12 05:43:35

slow it down
2006-09-12 05:51:40

I was cool enough to have... the LEGO truck stop :(
2006-09-12 07:31:39

Oh, Lego. That was awesome. I owned the glowing ghost (with ball and chain), and a crapload of pirate lego. Like caligo, I desperately wanted but never owned that pirate ship. I did have the fortress and pirate island though.... good times.
2006-09-12 07:36:57

Important question, though: why the hell are two knights and a guy in a baseball cap watching the pirate ship? Come to think of it, why is a knight holding up the train, why was the redcoat admiral a passenger, and why are the old-school pirate captain and an astronaut in the medieval castle?
2006-09-12 08:01:12

God thats Classic. Best Toy Ever. (Besides SNES).
2006-09-12 08:02:45

Lego submarine kicked so much ass. heheh... it was yellow... i f*cking loved my R.E.S.Q. Chopper with the little wench... it got broken apart and then lost all the pieces in my lego bin. that wench went on to make many elevators.
2006-09-12 08:06:00

awesome idea, i
2006-09-12 08:21:45

Thanks this is awesome

2006-09-12 09:19:43

2006-09-12 09:20:12

2006-09-12 15:49:08

2006-09-12 18:09:40

Yay for LEGO sites. Although it looks like somethings messed up with the transpacency on the .gif. Maybe it's just my browser. Anyways, some of ya'll might enjoy this: http://legotetris.ytmnd.com/
2006-09-12 18:12:13

And yeah, they really take Bionocle way too far now. I remember the Artic sets, the Pirates, the Knights. All so good and perfect. It really influenced me. Now kids today just seem to do nothing but play video games, that, and Legos are lame now. Well, I'm off to go unearth my legos and build with them.
2006-09-12 18:19:08

O M G YES
2006-09-12 18:20:28

Wow, I remember those.
2006-09-12 18:36:03

ye f*ck bioncle in the ass slow the loop down and add more badass lego all lego now is like, huge molded pieces so stuff takes like, 6 minutes to build

That does it; I'm finding all my instruction booklets and breaking out my bricks right now.
2006-09-12 19:27:38

legoes will always be awesome dude.
2006-09-12 19:33:52

not bad
2006-09-12 19:49:26

Seeing this made me feel something inside I haven't felt in a long time... the love and compassion of a child's heart. I want you to know that as I went back to beating my wife and kids, a tear rolled down my eye. Thank you.
2006-09-12 19:50:21

90s lego was awesome, modern lego is boring. Thanks for reminding me of how much fun lego was when I was a little boy!
2006-09-12 19:52:38

Also, I still have all my lego in a box somewhere and still have an Aquazone poster on my bedroom wall at my dads place...and I'm 18! Either shows you how cool lego was then or how sad I am now :D The UFO one with all the green see through plastic stuff was my fave.
2006-09-12 19:58:34

i had most of those, go legos
2006-09-12 20:04:02

Blind Melon FTW
2006-09-12 20:05:35

I jsut thought of something. Maybe if enough of us complained to LEGO they'd release some of those old sets. Or maybe atleast stop making ones from movies...
2006-09-12 20:11:25

Todas legos suck compared to those of the 90's. Divers especially.
2006-09-12 20:14:07

i have them all AND I MEAN ALL OF THEM
2006-09-12 20:43:55

needs more e-town. still great
2006-09-12 20:44:50

2006-09-12 20:54:41

2006-09-12 20:59:18

2006-09-12 21:04:19

2006-09-12 21:05:02

It truely was a Golden Age for Lego. God, I miss my Lego collection :(
2006-09-12 21:13:55

I have many of those booklets and many of the sets included in said booklets. 5 for tickling my love spot.
2006-09-12 21:18:57

2006-09-12 21:20:40

2006-09-12 21:43:23

I used to have a big-ass Lego pirate ship that I could never finish.
2006-09-12 21:55:14

I do too. that song is SO f*ckign awesome, and this gets a 5 just for that alone, but the legos would have given you a 10 if possible!
2006-09-12 21:57:21

legos....
2006-09-12 22:00:48

would've been better with more pics
2006-09-12 22:07:23

that was my childhood.. wow don't forget the town legos, and the early star wars ones..
2006-09-12 22:09:02

i remember back in the day i prayed they would make a star wars themed set, but i ended up making my own bootleg AT-AT and X-wing that looked real fruity cuz it had like every color block i had...too bad i had already grown out of legos when they actually did release those sets...smh...
2006-09-12 22:56:25

Where's the Blacktron?
2006-09-12 23:14:02

Haha I remember that stuff. Back when legos were affordable.
2006-09-12 23:28:53

Thank you forever. LEGO RULES!
2006-09-12 23:38:23

90's LEGO = Pwn
2006-09-14 04:41:55

This brings back memories.. Ahhh.. childhood...
2006-09-16 17:17:45

eat it
2006-09-19 23:33:38

I always dreamed of owning the train sets, but they were always SUPER pricy. 5 for nostalgia.
2006-09-20 06:33:06

i used to have all that stuff awesome
2006-09-23 18:58:30

I loved the alien sets... Eventually both my LEGOs & especially my (far superior - they take skill) Knex degenerated into one giant resource pile of which I built monstrous custom things. I made a full (and working - though not automatic) theme park of Knex & an Air Force of LEGOs. A 2 foot bomber & 8 foot tower drop...
2006-10-19 23:34:00

5'd for bringing back cherished childhood memories. This has unraped my childhood(after it has been savaged by the rest of the net)
2006-10-19 23:38:06

If lego would bring back oldskool castle and space alongside the SW, I would be happy.
2006-10-25 23:16:41

Those were the days...
2006-11-02 20:29:59

i loved all of those the ghost thing was my favorite
2006-11-08 12:05:12

good job dude, just a bit fast though.
2006-11-08 12:05:47

needs more M tron imo and whoever the opposite of M tron was, they were teh best ^_^
2006-11-08 12:11:09

I remember making giant army of tanks, bombers, space ships, hell anything and setting up the various urban environments with my friends and _annihilate_ everything. Ahhhhh simpler days. :)
2006-11-08 16:20:51

make it slower, then its perfect
2006-11-11 01:03:49

meeeeemmmories....
2006-11-13 00:26:49

5d for medieval. 5d for pirates. 5d for aquazone.
2006-11-13 00:29:01

YOU FORGOT ICE PLANET WTF
2006-11-13 13:55:15

The 90's were the golden age for LEGOs. Now the only worthwhile LEGOs are the Batman ones. GG FOR GLOWING GHOST
2006-11-13 13:57:25

I remember having a sh*tload of Lego sets including that one really huge castle with the drawbridge and everything. Too bad all the set pieces are mixed together now and I lost the instructions so I can't re-create them. LEGO itself seems to have lost its charm...
2006-11-16 19:37:44

legos = insta 5
2006-11-19 01:31:08

God legos kicked so much *ss then--remember what it was like to bring home a big set from the toy store and spend hours putting it together and playing with it?? good old days man. If only we had realized then that era of our lives was fleeting...5'd for great nostalgia
2006-11-19 01:32:16

sailor i had that castle too, and it kicked ass. then my brother and sister ran through the room and accidently knocked it down and i never quite got it rebuilt right after that.
2006-11-19 01:34:36

Slow down.
2006-11-19 07:35:12

Man, I remember those... that's when Lego was truly awesome... Now it's just not the same!! TT_TT
2006-11-20 10:17:43

The Golden Age of LEGO.
2006-11-20 13:44:27

LEGO, why hath thou fallen so far?
2006-11-20 21:09:14

You just summarized my childhood. I was (and probably still am) addicted to Lego.
2006-11-20 21:10:30

Nah, the lego kits absolutely sucked. Random tub of pieces ftw.
2006-11-21 01:04:18

:( and those were all the good ones, even the ones earlier
2006-11-22 00:34:08

oh man... awesome job
2006-11-22 03:05:43

Whoa...thanks for this YTMND. Lego was really awesome back then, before all the specialized, over-the-top crap they got now. I remember it all...thanks for the memories. :D
2006-11-22 06:24:44

5 for childhood memories
2006-11-22 08:25:56

I MISS MY OLD LEGOS. ALL THIS NEW SH*T IS GAY
2006-11-22 22:12:18

Attaching that music to legos = 5.
2006-11-22 22:12:50

good memories, and even better lego
2006-11-22 22:42:11

No Aquanauts = you lose. Stephanie's in the last one.
2006-11-23 02:41:53

Ahhh... LEGO used to be much more gracious back then, so many pieces so many combinations... Today it's seems to be mostly preassembled sh*t that requires all the ingenuity and skill of kid with a down's syndrome.
2006-11-23 11:39:12

I HAD ALL OF THOSE.
2006-12-02 01:10:03

Not much I can say but... 5'd, fav'd, and i
2007-02-04 10:26:50

You forgot time cruisers. 5'd and fav'd anyway.
2007-03-28 18:39:43

You need to slow the gif. Ah, memories...
2007-04-13 12:50:28

Haven't had a wave of nostalgia that big in a while I think. The saddest thing is when you know it's good times that can't be repeated. I miss the excitement that came from getting a new set. Boy does real life suck or what, wish I could have stayed a kid
2007-07-05 19:47:58

blacktron & aquazone kicked ass
2008-10-07 13:45:26

I remember getting one of those for my birthday when I was younger. I had my b-day at McDonald's and when we left, I saw lightning in the sky, since it was about to thunderstorm. Ah, man. Those were the days.
