| They NEVER had to sing at all in rent. They took a normal script, and added singing to random lines. Imagine doing that to a movie like Taxi Driver. Adding singing to normal conversation, that's what Rent did. There was no need AT ALL for that to be a musical, they just made it one. | ||||||
