-2
2006-01-16 00:11:20

2006-01-16 00:22:46

that looks like what happens with nes games if they arent loaded right.
2006-01-16 01:03:40

ugh... i remember seeing that on my NES side loaded box... "NOOOOO MY STARTROPICS CARTRIDGE!"
2006-01-16 01:06:09

So glitchy! it reminds me of when I hit my NES!
2006-01-16 01:13:10

this is like in the nes game willow when you put in the warp anywhere code
2006-01-16 01:17:25

I cant stop looking at this, its got me in a trance.
2006-01-16 01:18:47

2006-01-16 01:23:44

2006-01-16 03:16:56

I've heard that music from a game, you so didn't make that.
2006-01-16 03:18:39

Can't stop watching! AHHHH!
2006-01-16 03:26:50

how did you slow the music down?
2006-01-16 03:40:15

I'm pretty sure I've heard that song in about 10 million other YTMNDs.
2006-01-16 03:42:56

This has nothing to do with dead pixels... but it sure does bring the memories.
+1
2006-01-16 04:38:59

disturbing
2006-01-16 06:03:40

Unique, i like it.
2006-01-16 06:06:02

Somebody get the Q-tips!
2006-01-16 06:31:35

5 for awesome chiptune alone. What did you use for that?
2006-01-16 06:48:23

Ha, that happens in the arcade versin of Pacman when you reach the last level and the game just destroys itself.
2006-01-16 07:09:39

2006-01-16 03:16:56 DaRuckus 3 stars I've heard that music from a game, you so didn't make that. ROFL WHAT A f*g.
2006-01-16 07:24:44

Change the title from the inaccurate "dead pixels" to "dirty cartridge" for a higher score.
2006-01-16 07:26:57

ITT we are playing nintendo
2006-01-16 07:39:52

well played
2006-01-16 08:01:50

You actually remade Axel F without making it with an annoying f*ggot frog. 5
2006-01-16 08:24:58

-1 cause of the wrong title +3 and +3 for sound and graphics. Great job! 5'd :)
2006-01-16 08:29:46

This reminds me of NES games when they decide to scramble.
2006-01-16 08:38:52

wow quite surreal
2006-01-16 09:03:18

Ok, somebody blow into the cartridge!
2006-01-16 09:06:18

i like it
2006-01-16 09:54:09

CATHY TUNE
2006-01-16 09:54:27

This isn't dead pixels. It's the boot screen of the arcade version of Galaga.
2006-01-16 09:56:07

5'd!
2006-01-16 10:02:07

That used to always happen with my Tom and Jerry game.
2006-01-16 10:15:52

isnt this song from beverly hills cop? did you make beverly hills cop?
2006-01-16 10:17:33

Awesome.
2006-01-16 10:19:33

He means he made the remix. -2 for those not being dead pixels. +1 for it not being an unoriginal PSP bash.
2006-01-16 10:28:40

I like this.
2006-01-16 10:29:14

+5 for slow roasted goodness
2006-01-16 10:29:23

sound: made it no you didnt you just slowed it
2006-01-16 10:29:36

NINJA GAIDEN?!? NINJA GAIDEN...NOOOOOO 5
2006-01-16 10:44:19

My uber powerful PSP fails at life because of it's dead pixels! NOOOOOOO
2006-01-16 10:52:16

Can't even see the borders
2006-01-16 10:56:39

PSP has many weaknesses!
2006-01-16 10:58:07

Lame. That's what arcade games do EVERY time you start them up.
2006-01-16 11:10:56

must look for hidden messages from beyond!
2006-01-16 11:12:31

it's more fun if you open a second one in the background so it's out of sync.
2006-01-16 11:30:24

Very interesting. :)
2006-01-16 11:38:27

not bad. reminds me of the feeling you get - that punched in the somatch feeling - when you realize $100's worth of hardware is starting to break and you're utterly f*cked
2006-01-16 11:45:54

trippy
2006-01-16 11:53:28

I think he remade the music to this slower version.
2006-01-16 11:54:15

Ytmnd art rules.
2006-01-16 11:59:37

Hypnotic, creative, awesome
2006-01-16 12:05:03

2006-01-16 12:15:22

I got a dead pixel from my first DS.
2006-01-16 12:30:23

Brings back memories. Oddly enough, a loving but firm slap to the top sometimes fixed the problem.
2006-01-16 12:34:30

Reminds me of when Sonic messes up.
2006-01-16 12:49:05

I predict an east-coast art show will rip this off very soon. I'm seeing projections on large white walls, hipsters of all ages, a DJ spinning electronica, and Budweiser in bottles. Beware t3h .4R7 suX0rs, nobuyuki!!
2006-01-16 12:56:00

I really like this.
2006-01-16 13:02:57

Why did a third of all PSPs have to have dead pixels when first launched? And they wouldn't even refund them even though it was a factory f*ck up. Atleast Nintendo is trustworthy.
2006-01-16 13:12:11

*has seizure*
2006-01-16 13:14:42

subliminal messages!
2006-01-16 13:18:39

Outstanding.
2006-01-16 13:21:46

Reminds me of the days where you'd have to mess with the NES catridges forever to get them to work.
2006-01-16 13:28:51

2006-01-16 13:37:06

Um... you didn't make the sound. And yea, thats not dead pixels
2006-01-16 13:40:28

Nce remix
2006-01-16 13:41:22

Those aren't dead pixels. Just blow on the cartridge and put it back in. (works every time)
2006-01-16 13:43:44

A lot of people are REALLY missing the point. Or the pointless. The title should be different, but otherwise, I love it.
2006-01-16 14:26:08

remove "dead pixels" for the 5
2006-01-16 14:29:05

3'd because those aren't dead pixels
2006-01-16 15:15:40

awesome
2006-01-16 16:04:26

It's really overexaggerated, but I appreciate the non-f*g sound
2006-01-16 16:10:33

Ah...I remember those.
2006-01-16 16:37:13

Aw, and I clicked on it expecting something PWNing PSP...
2006-01-16 16:42:02

This looks more like an arcade game startup test than a bad NES cart. 4d for random gaming oddities...go try MAME.
2006-01-16 16:53:35

This is the first YTMND made from scratch in a while... i commend you.
2006-01-16 17:19:20

wow, this thing got popular all of a sudden. To the guy(s) that say I didn't make the audio: yes I did, it's an edited version of my own chiptune cover. So blast off
2006-01-16 17:23:01

I thought that was the last level of pac man for a second. Like, the half of the screen that was garbled.
2006-01-16 17:25:19

I had to register just for this site. The image, if I'm not mistaken, is created from the boot-up self-test of Galaga. In the "garbage" data, close looks reveal such things as the flagships' tractor beams, the chevrons used to mark waves, and even parts
2006-01-16 17:26:49

Holy sh*t, thats neat.
2006-01-16 17:43:18

well enough people said its not dead pixels, i believe its actually called circuit bending. but if its a galaga self test screen than its neither.
2006-01-16 17:57:00

Hah,I remember doing that.
2006-01-16 18:02:40

Here's to those f*cking cartridges.
2006-01-16 18:15:22

Those were troubling times :(
2006-01-16 18:17:57

nes had one weakness
2006-01-16 18:24:56

It's sad when this brings up memories of Punchout!!
2006-01-16 18:26:57

Try blowing the dust out.
2006-01-16 18:27:27

NOO NOT BEVERLY HILLS COP FOR NES
2006-01-16 19:29:42

You totally grabbed my nes for that picture right?
2006-01-16 19:37:09

MY EYES... MY PERFECTLY BAD EYES!
2006-01-16 20:21:21

...uh... ok?
2006-01-16 20:33:51

Sound rules. Also cocks.
2006-01-16 20:44:25

awww the memories
2006-01-16 20:51:10

Nice.
2006-01-16 21:02:47

broken cartridge not dead pixels.
2006-01-16 21:29:56

"Pac-man had only one weakness. Level 256!!!"
2006-01-16 22:28:00

I JUST WANTED TO PLAY EXITE BIKE
2006-01-16 22:31:01

If you have the money, you should buy a Famicom AV and an NES converter. Top-loading, no blinking, excellent signal, and you get compatibility with all the Famicom games too!
2006-01-16 22:38:55

ok?
2006-01-16 23:01:45

hah, one things looks like the rank symbol from galaga.
2006-01-17 00:19:08

noo...NOOO, my Super Mario Bros + Duck Hunt game....NOOOOOOO! anyway, nice job again
2006-01-17 00:25:17

5'd for the beat.
2006-01-17 00:46:36

That's what happens when your Nintendo's video memory goes bad...lol
2006-01-17 00:48:29

Or the Galaga test menu dumps ROM...
2006-01-17 01:35:50

or every time the rom boots
2006-01-17 02:24:50

3 For the funky remix, 2 cause I love you.
2006-01-17 04:25:55

It's a POST screen from an old arcade game I think.
2006-01-17 04:50:27

This is what geeks see when they get high.
2006-01-17 05:30:49

heh, b4 my time
2006-01-17 07:13:48

-2 for not having anything to do with dead pixels.
2006-01-17 08:54:45

I 3'd this before but now its a 1. For the love of god change the url and title! This has nothing to do w/ dead pixels!
2006-01-17 09:13:09

LOLNES
2006-01-17 09:13:32

nice pic... SICK SOUND!!
2006-01-17 09:33:54

I love it when people completely miss the point of a YTMND and one it.
2006-01-17 10:28:28

>_> You should put Take Me Out on it. That would be awesome.
2006-01-17 11:18:37

Pretty neat sound, but that's so not dead pixels. That totally is Galaga's graphics there. You can see that even when you run a Galaga romset through MAME. It's pretty cool tho.
2006-01-17 20:09:02

that's like, what happens if i rip out my pokémon game out of my gameboy on an acid trip. for re-creating that experience, i five you, sir!
2006-01-17 20:16:31
