Avril doesn't write her own music. So whoever produced the instrumentals took a good portion of the rubinoos song and just sped up the tempo then added a guitar rift here and there while Avril screeches out another tune like she's got a light bulb up her *ss and is printing out carbon copies of the same music over and over again.
Instrumentals the same.
Melody is the same in the chorus.
Avril is just a whore of the music industry.
Don't blame Avril.
Get revenge on Avril.
I heard about this in the news, but without the actual evidence to make the comparison, it's hard to know which side is telling the truth. This was informative, and the only way anyone could continue to support Avril in this little spat is because the corporate media doesn't want the first hand evidence to be available so we can form our own opinions. I'm not a huge Avril Lavigne hater--I even like a few of her songs, gasp!--but this is ridiculous.
Or sue the Gym Class Heroes for taking such an awesome song and turning it into a sh*tload of f*ck song with a backing vocal that most kids nowadays (who are so retarded and tit-fed MTV from day one) think is original when in fact it came from the infinitely superior 'Breakfast in America!' ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHH! o wait it's not the same thing lol.
I've listened to the whole Rubinoos song, and they're really very different. Wanting to be somebody's boyfriend/girlfriend is hardly an original sentiment, and there aren't that many ways to express it. But hey, apparently it makes you cool on the internet to rag on Avril Lavigne (just look at the comment moderation), so well done I guess.
